GIVE PEAS A CHANCE

They are huddled together on your plate 
The future for the humble pea doesn't look great
Overshadowed by a large fish and a portion of chips 
It's looking bleak for the pea as they enter your lips 

Safety in numbers will not help the poor old pea
Getting worse by the minute as you can see 
There is nowhere to run and nowhere to hide
Into your mouth the pea goes as you open wide

I'm sure if we all got together and took a firm stance 
We'll sing the  words of Lennon and let's give peas a chance
