Glib Love

With ‘all the time in the world’..
greener grass you choose
newly laid, soft and yielding,
no strangled roots to gather moss,
no rambling bramble to abuse..
I wring  housewife hands..
There's a better love than this..
alone as your selfishness commands
cursed spirit  sunshine slash my wrist.,
Sweet children bring you joy
I have ‘All the time in the world.’.
With this boy, with this girl
Never  bring flowers nor a treat,
kind words  foreign on your breath
I've no time to wonder of defeat
nor if there's life after this death
there's less to remember than forget..
time sure runs out,and in its place
an emptiness that brings regret
If only he had taken Time to chase
the rainbows and the starry nights.
the sea shores nestled in my breast
and dreams I whispered in his shell-like..
then maybe we could taste the best.

He's not that person anymore..
but here's the rub. nor am I..
he tries to hammer down the door.
and doesn't see what he  had before..
she left when he had ‘all the time in the world’
Yet none for her.
