GOD BLESS THE NHS

GOD BLESS THE NHS

I am thankful if I'm ill and in a mess
I can always rely on the NHS
If my health should suffer and deteriorate
I have the NHS to help me get better and recouperate

However the beds are scarce and the waiting lists long
It will take a while to be fit, healthy and strong
The nurses and doctors are rushed off their feet
With targets and demands they must achieve and meet

It's sad to see the NHS in this way
The hospitals are getting busier day by day
I only wish there was something I could do
What the answer is I'm sorry I haven't a clue
