God Knows

God knows why everything is this way

Why I broke down and cried today

I have been searching for a reason why

This beautiful love had to die.

God knows she was all I ever needed

She was the reason why I pleaded

For forgiveness for sins of the past

In a hope that our dreams would last.

God knows the reason she had to leave

Now all I do is try to believe

One day she and I will be together again

And there'll be an end to this turmoil and pain.

God knows if my wish is to come true

For now, I pray for help to see me through.
