GOD'S WILL

No one knows who he really is
If they say they do
There are peddling untruths

God cannot be understood
When he stays so far away
We substitute fantasy for
What he does not say

We assume he lives
And reigns on high
What would we do
If all this was a lie?

He hides himself so well
Hidden in a mere breeze
He created this world
For we who he wished to please

Religion has claimed ownership of him
Never wanting to let him go
Battles have been fought over
How much of him we should know

The earth revolves around god as king
You must lose your individuality
If you wish not to die in sin

No one must live for now and be happy
We must seek a future
That exists when we are dead
This without any proof
Confirming all the flam
We are fed

God’s will is opaque
No man has
The ability to comprehend nature fully
So cannot create a god that can be made to fit
A human concept of authority

A god only can rule supreme
If the people wish to be led
Worship who you wish
Praise the one who
Loves you best

One day he may return
To calm the masses he disowned
It will be a second ascension to his thrown
Held up as an ideal
For all to own
