goes over my head

I dont even like poetry 
It makes me feel im stupid. 
Cos when I read the words of other people's poems from a page in a book 
or the screen or my phone
From my eyes to my mind it goes 
And most of the time 
I don't get what the writer wrote.   
I'm like fuck man gimme a clue?
Please your analogies 
Or is it metaphors? 
I'm not sure of the difference 
I'm like. 
Couldn't you say this in a different way? 
You talk like that, day to day?
Yeah sure I am kinda low brow, working class.
That's my  guilt free admittance 
My best guess is that it's all very personal in some way, 
but someone else may relate 
Lastly I want to make this clear   I respect everyone that's  put pen to paper and been brave enough to share
