Poem -

Going Forward

We pick all the daises-

Nice lawns now steals the rainbow.

Had we but world enough, and time,

how would we perceive God?

This is the season for worldly lust-

The hour of self love.

Around me are the echoing sounds of earthly

pleasures,

A man with vain melodies woon at my ears.

I hide away from the spirit of drunkeness

and from the darkness of covetousness.

Yes, human am I

With desires greater than the wind.

The certainity of righteousness never ending-

Men can starve from a lack of spirituality,

From a lack of purpose,

while bearing no ryhtm in our wandering.

There are always crossroads,

A spring of doubting lips,a field of resplendent eyes.

Going forward-

Oh, which way do you go?
