GOING INTO BATTLE

Why men fight in war I wish I knew
In foreign lands such as Waterloo
Bloodshed and heartbreak for the masses
Caused by guns, bombs and many gasses

Lives are lost and families are broken
Words are left unsaid and unspoken
No in end in sight for world peace
How I wish fighting would cease

I'm thankful that I don't have to kill a man
Just to survive the best way that I can
Respect then to the armed service personnel
Going into battle must be sheer torture and hell

The fish of the sea

Agreed, most of the time its pointless, drawn out over long periods due to greed and corruption more than the clashing of ideas. It's never the answer if you ask me. Peace and smiles to you my friend. Kind regards. Max
