Gone but never, ever forgotten đź’•

Gone but never, ever forgotten đź’•

Those mystic mountains of beautiful Dunblane

As the cattle munch in the meadows on some barley grain

With yon rapid rolling rivulets rippling in the gentle rain

As that big old Mr.Moon melts his wax and wane..
                          ~
Twas a quarter of a century ago as the little children played

In amidst the school yard as those branched boughs swayed

And they giggled and laughed but were never afraid

When the good Lord called seventeen names as their loved ones prayed..
                          ~
God bless all these lovely little school children and their brave teacher Gwen Mayor

And the timelessness of time shall never understand that slayer.

But the sun shines down on all these little Angels as we kneel down in prayer

Gone but never, ever forgotten and rest in peace little Angels in the sweet, Springtime air...

Jill, I remember hearing it in work on the radio and all our hearts sank that tragic day. I think even Tony Blair visited the next day, unheard of a PM to act so quickly and love him or loathe him schools in the UK soon became much more secure. But alas too late for those poor kids and families.
Some things in life we can never forget and shouldn't.
Hang in there Jill and a brave and most respectful heartfelt write.
