Goodbye

Goodbye

Remember when we awoke

So sleepy in the morn.

Your hair spread on the pillow.

As yellow as the corn.

You loved me like none

had ever done before.

your body soft and gentle

Your kisses soft and warm.

cleared the sleep from my eyes

As you held me in the dawn.

How could our time be over

No matter how we try

I see your tears of sorrow.

Soon to be tears of goodbye..

Just kiss me on my lips

Let me once more hear your sigh

Wipe away your teardrops

For tears are  not the way

for us to say goodbye
