Poem -

GOODBYE IT COULD BE ME NEXT

The gravestone he visited once a weekĀ
Is little comfort for the pleasure he seekĀ
Words he wants to say but nothing comes
Just another death living in the slumsĀ

This death is no different to all the restĀ
Taken early by drugs if you haven't guessed
If it isn't drugs then it will be the drinkĀ
Nothing to live for and no time to thinkĀ

So he says goodbye to his once best mate
Knowing the prospects for him aren't greatĀ
A miracle if he lasts to the end of the yearĀ
Such a sad story please don't shed a tear
