Poem -

Goodbye mum

this on is for my mom who passed away. 13/09/1954 22/02/2022

You are the one who I call mum

And I am your oldest son

You gave me a sister and then a brother

We are so glad that you're our mother

You taught us things like wrong from right

Protected us every day and night

Mum I love you everyday

Those words sometimes I did not say

Those times when I was a little bad

You didn't cry or get mad

You just said that's my son

I hope you know I love you mum

And so a shadow has been cast

I feel the sorrow your free at last

Your shadow filling all our hearts

Thinking of when we were young

So thankful to have called you mum

Always there when we needed you

Now I don't know what to do

Teach my kids that it's ok

Try to get through just one more day
I wish the hands of time would stop

In my heart you found my special spot
