Great Dame Mother Earth

Great Dame Mother Earth

Cumulus clouds smothered her skies as our Great Dame Mother welled tears in her eyes
Never before had she felt such raw emotion when she heard of Earth’s problems of the humanities commotions
Microscopic particles amidst her clean air was scattered and spreading everywhere
Could she be dreaming as she painted her view or was this not an illusion, why was people so blue ?

But within her curiousity she looked from her heavenly locations and was moved to tears once again by the stillness of nations
Yet her blossoms on the trees were blooming and thriving whilst she was aware of her feathered friends still ducking and diving
Tho she listened with love to those singing bird’s song something had happened to her world that was worryingly wrong
Mother knew in her heart that what was causing this plight was keeping humankind well out of sight

So she sent the sunshine to warm up her weather and blew gentle breezes as light as a feather
Well her month of April was sunny and bright
A springtime like no other for their moment of blight
Yes she was their Great Mother Magna this much was true but beyond beautiful weather, what more could she do ?
Many months passed her people by as she waited with anxiety from her place in the sky

Then one miraculous morning in a moment of sheer pleasure she smiled as she watched some children in leisure
Laughing and playing like they used to doΒ
Was this a sign there was something anew ?
Parents with pushchairs and people in cars as she twinkled with jubilation shining her stars
Finally and at long last the infection was gone so she waved farewell to the summer season and her world carried on

My Dear Jill,

You have honored our dear Mother Earth, to perfection.Β Β

Mother Earth wept, as her brave children died
Her tears for the longevity, that they all were denied
But then came the day, when the plague disappeared
She reveled in happiness, for her children revered

All my love,
Larry xxx
