Grecian Shore

Grecian Shore

Meet me by your Grecian shore;
I know you know the one...
when days were long
and life was young.

Meet me by your Grecian shore.

At times my mind can't help but run
back toward these rocks of sirens stunned,
who failed to free our lips abound
that day beneath the golden sun.

For had I crashed upon your lands,
and finished what was left undone,
would I have been a surer man,
in years of shorelessness to come?

Or on this dune would we still stand,
trailed by a path split years before,
built on the words I chose to strand.
Meet me by your Grecian shore!
