Poem -

Gripped By War

Smoke filled plains upon  the grass
Bring heart brake and a brutal aftermath

The stench of pain is in the air
A cruel feeling everywhere
What are we to do
Broken, hurt and torn in two
We fade into the dust
Rapidly were crushed

Many wars are built on lies
The enemy, we are brainwashed to despise
But the truth is closer than we think
Corrupt politicians one might think

Believing in their lies
With hope and glory in our eyes
We fight for the many and not the few
Or so the government would say we do

How can we believe in them
When they are killing our women and men.
When ?
When their is no one left to send
Only then the war will end
