Growth

Shavings from a pencil

Erase the lead

Havok at base of deciduous tree

Leaves mix with bark

My thoughts unravelled

Leak from my head

Dreams spring away like New Year sparklers

Like birds migrating to distant lands

Spiraling exhale

Exit hair strands

Names of distant memory

Jumble and fall

Shades disappear

Behind vivid reality

Is this the shedding of old wine skin

Am I being born again
