Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel

You clarion not friendships broken,
To you ill-will is never spoken.
You love all and all love you,
It's all the good we see in you.

You share, you care all day through,
All our dreams you make come true.
For this is us and that is you,
It's all the good we see in you.

You help others in many places,
Standing tall with all good graces.
You guide and care, you hold true,
It's all the good we see in you.

You fix our broken hearts in need,
All lost souls you help to feed.
You search for problems, you pursue,
It's all the good we see in you.

When children's faces are sad and long,
You share your gift, you make them strong.
You've loved so many, they're never few,
It's all the good we see in you.

You're always there in mind and heart,
Uniting loved ones who drift apart.
We humbly wish we could too,
It's all the good we see in you.

When souls are trapped in dark places,
You shed your light upon their faces.
All our worries you subdue,
It's all the good we see in you.

When people yearn for departed friends,
The presence of you can make amends.
Our loss and woes you undo,
It's all the good we see in you.

You nurture, feed and aid the poor,
You're all the things that we adore.
You gift hope and are always true,
It's all the good we see in you.

You taught us well, for time does tell,
We help others with your noble spell.
But it's always you we look to,
It's all the good we see in you.

Sometimes we stumble, sometimes we fall,
You're eternally there for one and all.
You pick us up, you clear our view,
It's all the good we see in you.

This life is tough, this life is hard,
This life can deal the odd cruel card.
We stay the course, you guide us through,
It's all the good we see in you.

So full of virtue and ceaseless kindness,
You're forever there, forever timeless.
You lift our spirits, you make them new,
It's all the good we see in you.

A Guardian Angel you simply are,
To those you've saved, a shining star.
A Gift from heaven's azure blue,
You're all that's good, we worship you.

Such a positive poem Shaun. So many take strength in their guardian angels. You encapsulated that hope, and celestial allure, which exudes from the faith that someone carries towards such heavenly wonders. The power of that belief marches on in every verse like a mantra. Ending on that pinnacle spiritual and emotional response to such an awe inspiring sensation. That is to worship them.

Beautifully written my friend ❤️

Gwen thank you so much for your gracious and most warming comments and you rely them more than well.
And I humbly hear you loud and clear and this is one of my daughter's favourites and Longing, for she saw them both materialise and mature from tiny poetry acorns.
And Longing is my own personal favourite of everything I've ever written, for it was so challenging to hopefully make it work.
Thanks again good Gwen and may God Bless and Keep you and all the loved ones around you.❤️
Your friend Shaun.x.

Being Me

Oh, we all need a guardian angel. Where would we be without our spirit friend. My guardian angel must have their hands full with me and yet they are always there. I love this poem, Shaun, and it is really well written. Fabulous work x

Tina many thanks and glad you liked it and this has been rewritten now once and for finally all and brought forward so an elderly Catholic couple I met earlier today in work can find it easier.
And Tina I have a lot of catching up to do with your wonderful poetry and I will endeavour to do so my friend.
Thank you so much for your uplifting comments and as you say we all need a guardian angel from time to time.

The fish of the sea

What a lovely poem here Shaun, I really enjoyed the calm soothing tone and awesomely solid structure. Gives a sense of reflection without losing focus in your dreams. Very clever and well-thought-out write. Peace to you Shaun, this put a smile on my face.
