Guilt Distilled

Guilt Distilled

I want to turn away
From all the misery
But if I close my eyes
The guilt distills in me

And if shout about
All that I believe
I sadly know by now
I’ll lose some family

But if I turn my back
To that, that must be seen
Well, then, I risk it all
And lose humanity
