Guitar Tears

Look down at her lay sleeping
All my love in my safe keeping
All the time the seconds creeping
All the time my guitar weeping

Music falls like feathered down
Caressing all within this town
Always calm without a frown
As my guitars tears fall down

Hair of yellow like the corn
Across the pillows in the morn
The darkness grip of nighttime torn
My weeping guitar all forlorn

For its time for me to go
Sing and play in another show
Leaving my love in a sleeping glow
My weeping guitar seems to know
