HALF A JOYFUL WORLD...
In half a joyful world....
Truths drift by like softest whispers
Silenced on a gentle breeze
Blown awayÂ
Choking
Like morning mists
Pungent with lack of breath
In half a joyful world....
Truths cling tight to delicate wings
That float the air to doom
Can be viewed under greenest leaves
Where aphids feed and fatten
Become feed
In half a joyful world....
A sly moon gloats asÂ
Claws unfurl
And velvet is called out
A lie
Loses all sheen
Stripped bare
To bones that gleam
In half a joyful world....
Truths are hiddenÂ
BlatantlyÂ
In sunbeams of rainbow colour
That dazzle
Brilliantly and blindingly
And mockingly
In half a joyful world....
Misery is just food
To feed a rampant beast
While death drinks it's fill
And more
Where beauty smiles benevolently
At blood
Which again
Becomes the beauty...
In such a world....
I struggle for air.
