Halloween Night

The sky loomed overhead, she tried to hide her dread. The shadows seemed to be dancing around, her footsteps were the only sound. This is silly she thought walking alone, it's only  a few more block till home. A sound so frightening from behind shivers quivered down her spine. She glanced behind  just to see, I figure of black walking slowly. It's no one she tried to reassure but fear was taking over her. Her footsteps quickened with every breath, she thought she smelled the stink of death. Almost home she thought, and then  a hand grabbed her shoulder, she felt her blood run colder." Ha! said a voice she knew, I really got you!" Her brother spun her around and laughter was the only sound she heard." How I hate Halloween night!" She stomped into her house she was home, all was right. Deep in the shadows outside the house the creature loomed quiet as a mouse. She had gotten away this Halloween night , but there always another to find to fright...............
