Crazy For Coffee

Crazy For Coffee

My boiling, cup of absolute joy
Today, I celebrate you, with my "Chip's Ahoy"

I forgot to invite good old Brandy, decorated with chocolate candy
I admit, it would definitely come in handy

For the days, I stand an emotional wreck, I go completely bezerk
If my cup is empty, my thoughts out of order, my body does not work

Espresso, decaf, and all sorts of flavours, coffee is like Superman
The one reason, I actually have an attention span

Coffee, offers similar benefits, to your best friend
A warm cup of sweet relief, the best flavours mixed in a blend

Oh no, morning again, in the bed you stall, instead of rising, on the floor you fall
Exhaustion crashing down like a wall,it is time to give that cup of coffee a call

Folgers,Maxwell house, Nestle, as long as it is instant with no wait
Me and coffee, at the table accompanied with sugar, and coffee's mate

As you start the car, you do not make it very far
How incredibly smart you are

Off to  Dunkin Donuts you go, to finish the show
The ultimate coffee shop, letting Americans know

Coffee and Do-nuts together, let us live forever young
Careful, it is hot, lets not burn our tongue

In line, now you wait, it is a quarter to eight
Worried you will be late

But how will you stay awake
With no coffee break, your sanity was at stake

Should of just made your own
Time on the clock is ticking by, you remain in a zone

Now,your need for coffee made you feel like such a clown
In your frustration, you feel ashamed, in line you still wait, looking down

At the floor, as you continue to wait, for your coffee to re-create
You go insane, thinking, "I will definitely be late"

Finally, its your turn to order, a double double with cream
The scent awakens, your senses, you get lost in its steam

Turn the key to your car, to spot the cracker jack driver, in the completely wrong lane
You reach for your coffee, to stop from going completely insane

Oh great what a pleasant surprise
On the floor mat, is where your sanity lies

You let out a helpless cry, to what has been found
Your coffee soaked up the ground

The cup of sanity, is empty and dry
Today no choice to kiss your coffee good bye

Leaving your entire day, upside down
Instead of a smile you wear a frown, in sorrows you drown

Crazy for coffee, or so you say
With out coffee, you are not okay

Insane in the membrane, is what you really are
Wow you feel like a star, you even locked the keys in the car

Oh the joys, of being late, with the car keys, are those to open works gate
In the middle of January, in the bitter cold you wait
