HAPPENSTANCE

Just happenstance
My cathedral
The golden leafmould pathway
there
Two cliffs aligned...who took that
care?
To place the arching trees
Just so...
Where only moss and damp
ferns know
The tap tap drips that fall below
The little streamletsĀ catching all
The alien light that falls as green
The spirit life that hides...
Unseen
Two cliffs aligned
Who took the time?
To build this secret place
All mine
Where only moss and damp
ferns know
If I should come
If I should go
Just happenstance
That boulder there
Smoothed gently with time's
utmost care
Where I might sit or I might not
Upon that rock to stare and stare

Oh' yes indeed .. we all need such a place .................... perfectly poemed in my humble opinion ................................. x
Thankyou x
I can feel the beautiful sanctuary that only nature can bring. A gorgeous reflection felt here in your words. You canāt beat the power of nature and all it hides within its making
Just beautiful my friend xĀ
I have such a place boulder included at no extra charge...š
thanks Gwen xx
Does the Boulder make a good perch to rest on? Or is it handy to roll at unpleasant guests? Ā š I wanna a little natural escape. Itās just marsh and cement here. Flat as flat can be xĀ
Is it?...that's a shame Gwen though didn't heathcliff appear out of some marsh? There's always a bonus though second thoughts its heathcliff š¬š¬š it's beautiful where I live...albeit a compact beautiful as I live halfway up a Welsh mountain( hill)...š it is seriously beautiful and peaceful though with walks in every direction and amazing views and lots of little secret places. We even have a fairy tree...a great hollow big enough to stand in and I started putting little bits from the pound shop in there. There aren't too many kids up here but stuff would dissappear but then i.put a plaque in there in remembrance of Judd as we would always take kids to fairy tree when they were all home. Since then, nobody takes anything and little kids have left bits there...a shell, feather, a tiny doll thing. Then somebody has put a book in there for visitors to sign. The hollow faces away from the track so you have to 'know' about the fairy tree or stumble upon it as we did. It was me that made it a fairy grotto. You can get little tiny figures of swings and see saws etc in pound shop...fairy sized. There are random fairy doors on random trees up here( nit me)...and ponies, sheep, cows, pigs, bulls, chickens, goats, geese, ducks. Red kites circle. Its only 15 min away from the massive estate I grew up on where even a beetle failed to survive lol so it's heaven to me.Ā xxx
And donkeys...forgot to mention the donkeys and the fact that the beach is a ten minute car ride away. I have it all really and I used to be so grateful for it...then god went and spoiled it all š
Oh Marion it sounds magical and beautifully serene. My Nan turned her garden into a fairy land. She put miniature villages around her garden, and little toadstools and things. It was like walking through a little fairy village. My dad use to take me to a field where there was a mushroom circle. He would sit with me there and tell me stories. But he always warned me never to go to the circle late at night, orĀ I could be caught in the fairy kingdom.
Where my mum lives there is a forest and inside is a little natural pool that looks like something fairies would use. My dad always planned to write a story about it.
I think itās wonderful you have turned the tree into such a magical place that others are leaving things there too. And a plaque for Judd, he canāt ever be forgotten ša beautiful tribute my friend.Ā
Heathclith that made me giggle because I use to do Kate Bush impressions,Ā and even sangĀ that song š Maybe I need to go sing on the marshes and see if he will appear ? LolĀ
I swear itās just a soggy, boggy flat place here xxĀ
