HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE AND ALL
what it's about through our families eyes

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE AND ALL
It’s that time of year again,
Happiness and laughter,
Food and drink galore,
Presents and life in a bauble,
All under decorated trees,
Lit up with lights and tinsel,
No matter how many feet tall.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE,
LOVED ONES, FAMILY,
FRIENDS AND ALL!Â
What a joy to see the smiles on the faces,
On all 3 of my boys,
As they jump and bounce on my bed,
Opening their stockings santa has left and playing with their toys.
Whether it’s 5,
6 or 7am,
Once they are up,
They are up,
There’s no stopping them!
Everything is a rush,
To get to the Christmas tree,Â
They even offer to help wash up and clean,
To get to the conservatory,
to see if Santa has been.
You should see how their faces light up and gleam.
All because Christmas is like a dream!
Also my Family and friends,
Make our day,
As we all sit round,
This one time a year,
Collectively!
As we open our presents,
The pile of wrapping paper increases,
As does the excitement,
Until the presents are all gone,
It never ceases!
There’s always that special pile my children look for,
But how did he get them here?Â
Through the chimney flute or simply through the front door?
I love Christmas and the magic it brings,
The only time of year I will subdue us to the 45 mins,
Of the Baptist church hymns.
We do it for my mum,
As unlike us,
She’s into christianity things.
Although we don’t believe the same,
I like to keep the happiness flowing,
From the start to the end of the day.
To us,
To me,
 my trio and I,a
1,
2 and 3,
Christmas isn’t just about the presents under the tree,
It’s about the love we get to share with our super amazing family.
It’s about sitting around a table,
Just for 1 day of the year,
Eating with my family beside me,
Sharing banter and the cracker joke,
A glass of prosecco in hand,
Or if a child a coke.
Then to all our loved ones,
Whom we all have lost and loved.
Everyone raises their glasses,
As someone says something to our dear beloved.
Then on with the food and the Christmas crackers.
Putting on our silly hats,
Making us all look quackers.
Is all in good fun though,
Reading jokes and communicating with family,
To me,
is what really matters.
Then on with the feast!
One which we pile our plates so high,
like we are feeding beasts.
Who cares though,
As is one of many of the festive time treats.
Tins of chocolates,
Tubs of sweets.
My sister buys enough for an army,
So many amazing everywhere for us all too eat.
End of the day and our bellies are popping,
Just wanting our beds,
but not Christmas stopping!
So before we drop,
Out the board games come,
We have to do it,
As for us,
 it’s a Christmas tradition.
Then one by one it’s off to bed,
As christmas rolls into boxing day,
we drift off to dreamland,
Happy and content
