HAPPY PILLS

A nation hooked on happy pills the paper did say 
Some people take them three times a day 
This to me is upsetting and sad 
Taking pills to make you happy and glad 

A joke a day is the answer for me my friend 
Pills will make you crazy and round the bend 
Be grateful that you can see and hear 
Be thankful for family and friends both far and near

So to me happy pills I will choose to ignore
I will look forward to what the day has in store
