Hate

In a world full of hate

You lie, just to try

To fix the things you can't hide.

So you walk, just to run

Away from your pride.

Then you get in your zone

But you're feeling alone.

You look to the only thing that takes away the pain.

You feel that sting

You see that blood

You feel that shame.

You hide the marks with a smile,

Maybe with a sleeve.

You feel a rush of relief.

Then even you start to believe,

That you're okay with yourself

But you feel deep inside

That it's only a lie.

Things start to fall

And through it all,

You lose yourself.

Trying to find the answers to something else.

And now you're gone.

Lying there, cold, drifting away.

Thinking "why couldn't I stay?"

Life was hard, you found a way out.

And now you're gone, without a doubt.

Can't turn back

What's done is done.

You left the world,

Hoping to be someone.
