The red eyes ~ I recognize the sky
Dark & Gray like so many rainy nights
Did you come here to raise the dead?
Did you come here to play Jesus?
Or come to remind us that we can hate
Because, dear friend
The rainbow on my rainy day,... is you
Tormenting what's left of the God in me
I think of your warm embrace filled with lust
And the evil that lust creates
I hate you as you whisper you love me
You're fucking with my destination
Because you're afraid
My destiny is pre-ordained
And you can't stop the fact
That I love you anyway
God has taught me this
To give to you
Love IS
The only way.....

Hey D!!........pretty cool that you picked up on that musical reference.........you were close.........I got the inspiration for those few lines from the Irish folk singer Sarah Croker.........I've written a couple of songs for her.......in fact the song i''m referring to is on her album "Meet The Day" on which I wrote track 3.......pretty cool stuff if you ever get the chance to check it out.......my tune is called "Different World" on that same album............thanx for this bro!.........sorry to ramble on like that..........smiles..........T xo
I did not know that Sarah Croker was the inspiration but if you listen to the song One by U2 thats what I mistook your inspiration from. T always enjoy the ramble, iam an open minded person listening and learning helps me to know things and experience life. I will definitely check that out and let you know. Peace.
