Haunting

The tap turns on by itself

The books rearrange on the shelf

Paintings go askew

If only everyone knew

Strange sounds if you listen

White noise on the television

Why don't they see the signs

Or am I losing  my mind ?

The lack of sleep is taking it's toll

I am pestered by an unearthly soul

The old mansion I shouldn't have bought

Another home I could have sought

Now this all happens to me

Why, oh why can't others see?

That I and this ghost are now here together

Tied by a bond for ever

Guests would not come inside

They would run and hide

If they experienced these events like me

Why , oh why can't they see?

That I know now death is not the end

But my fortitude will not bend

I love this old house as this entity

And will not choose to flee !
