ONE
for Hayley...my one...my light...my child...

As she carries me
In the late nights
In the phone calls
As a rain roars and,
Inward falls...
In the strange dreams
Where a wind screams
Then... stills...
When the stillness roars
And she carries me
As the winds keen
As a rage screams
In the scared dream
Of life
As I carry her
Through the howling
In the late nights
Of the strange worlds
One...
In inward dreams
Where a rain screams
Then...stills...

Sorry for late reply Jim...thankyou x
I can hear the wind roaring outside as I read this - literally. I suspect this poem is influenced by the weather in the UK at the moment.
Great write Marion x

Brilliant write my friend. Made me think of my relationship with my Mum. We have certainly had to carry each other through the thick of it. I loved the use of nature here, for turmoil and troubled minds. A really good dedication that rings of the bond you have. Massive hugs đ
