Poem -

He Chose Me

He Chose Me

He was the one who came to me
I did not choose Him, He chose me
To bring a light for all to see
This simple man who chose the tree

The cup He bore with great despairΒ
Shows His love was always there
He cried aloud with many tears
Father forgive them my time is near

He did not come to die in vain
His life, His love is what He gave
Don't turn away a love so great
Run to Him, it's not too late

Now don't look back at what was lost
He paid your ransom; He paid the cost
This simple man, yet awesome God
Chose ALL of man with His own blood

Let no man doubt such a thing
This sacrifice of one such King
His mighty power, His crown, His ring
He reigns on high, His praises sing

No greater choice was ever made
He truly lives outside the grave
He rose again for you and me
No greater love can set us free
