Poem -

He wondered.

He wondered.

The moon split in half
and the stars crumbled,
Falling like fireworks
into the sea.
As he watched his world fall apart.
He hid his face in the clouds.
He didn’t want the whole world to see his misery.
His teardrops burned holes
in the horizon,
then he lost his desire to shine.

He thought to himself what could've happened.
What if the moon didn't split.
What if the stars rose up to the sky like fireworks, instead of down to the sea.
What if my world was still in one piece.
What if I didn't hide behind the clouds.
What if I revealed to the world who I truly was.
What if I still had the desire to shine.

I guess these are question we will never know the answers of.
