Head to the sun

 Head to the sun

The sunflower turns its head to the sun,

Follows it over the sky,

Soaks in the warmth of solar lapping,

Till finally the sun seeds fly.

Like nano rocket ships they launch,

Destined for mother earth,

To burrow in from winter squalls,

Until a spring time birth.

First appears two little leaves,

Like arms they wave to the springtime sun,

That power draws them in,

A new cycle has begun.
