Poem -

Heal you

In a way, it's like time is frozen

But the wind still seems to be blowing and the leaves are still falling upon our faces.

I imaged this many times

Day by day while I lay awake.

I dreamt while I was awake

Of a perfect man who would stand before me.

With his head down and broken screaming his name

Frozen still and pained in his fist.

A perfect man who doesn't think he's the slightest bit of perfect at all.

Let alone exists.

But when he looks up at me I'll see shimmer in his eyes

And on that dark winter night,

The moon won't be the only light

Though he will be as bright as day.

I imaged that dark cold night

Being More radiant than the brightest lights

And warmer than the hot sun.

I imaged time being frozen solid,

With only our movements being able to move in time.

I imaged it being only us two

Standing there like we both witnessed each other's suicide.

And though the voices in our heads went silent,

Our hearts were deafened,

making it impossible for our minds to speak.

We can't speak, so let our hearts boom until the words that our hearts scream reach the tip of our tongues then say it.

Will you accompany me in this Journey?

To the path where I may find myself

You are so bright, do you mind lighting up the way?

Just like how the stars guided me to this place where we stood,

Will you guide me?

I imaged you whispering so softly,

The wind handed me your secret

As if you told it to do so.

I heard insanity in your troubled whisper.

It reminded me of mines and the way I spoke before I reached here.

Though our movements were the only movements in time

I still walk slowly and nervously towards the sad soul like I was trying to move forcefully through time.

Your body looks like it's failing there is barely any life in you.

Thinking to myself "may I heal you?"

I imaged when I touched your fragile hands that you use so roughly

That your body will tingle with the slightest bit of life to give you encouragement to get up

And your breathing will come alive.

I imaged putting all my hurt aside

So I could help you stay alive

But you touch my face and tell me that I don't have to hide

He could see the little darkness hiding behind all the sparkling stars in my eyes

He says, can I take you with me as my own personal North Star? As a guidance and a remembrance.

Not knowing I myself is lost along with you.

I imaged our hands interlocking tighter while the lights got brighter and our hearts felt warmth for the first time on that dark winter night,

I imaged both our lights clearing the pathway. You were the moon and I were the stars.

We took over the night together.

Your secret I still remember.

Now your light will forever linger in me

And Yes, I will help you.

Yes I will do anything for you.

Just promise me you'll do the same.

For I  also need you.

In a way, it's like while time was frozen, I imaged us being happy.
