A Heart Shaped Lad

Who squashed those fishies in a
tinΒ
Your outrage said,
Still a little thing
Such a tiny lad
With eyes
That bled
Rage red

It's only pilchards for our tea
I...shamed,
Because your eyes tore out my soul
Well... who deaded all those
fishies mam?
Just to tip them in a bowl

Such a tiny lad
As your outrage bled
Just a little thing
Who cried and said

Well I don't want my tea
I won't eat that stuff cos,
Those fishies should be free
Let's go down to the beach mam
Put them all back in the sea...your...

Outrage said
Such a tiny thing
Such a soul felt sad
Such a kind shaped lad
Huge eyes
That bled
Too red

Hi Tony...I.have a problem writing sometimes as I write always to an internal rhythm which I clearly hear but unfortunately ...no reader can lol. This makes the flow off kilter sometimes but as I write for feeling not flow I tend to leave it alone and hope for the best lol....you are being kind here. This though is a very real memory and I truly thankyou for the leeway given...hugs my friend x

Heart rending words with more than just a ring of innocent truth about them ..........

You can laugh lol....he was only 4 by the time he was 6 he was tucking into chops πŸ˜„πŸ˜...stages!! Although he shouted at a cleaning lady in corfu aged ten for sweeping a lizard out and was in bits on the same holiday when a seagull got caught in a fisherman's net. He was beside himself and was a massive animal lover like me but...he still ate chops...lol...I ramble ( not like me at all!!)
Memories are always precious but we shelve them in busy lives...sometimes they become more than precious...they become the air we breathe to go on...thanks Neville x
