has been an open box of candies

each one wrapped

and each one

contains good and bad times.

There is a big red bow on the box

and all of it

I have given to your heart.

My Valentine poem to you

has to say and give more

than a

store bought present for this day.

Our life is in this box

and it has been

an ongoing dedication

one day at a time.

Trials and tribulations

and joy and sorrow

tells a tale of our life together.

I could never replace this box

a piece

of heaven and angelic wing

born of Gods Grace.

Today is Valentines Day

and you

will taste the candy of today

and know how good it is.

To wake in the morning

and go

through life with you by my side

is all

a Valentine heart would need.

But it is your day, so

from a loving man direct to your heart
