Heaven And Hell

Inspired by and written for Deborah Evans
She sits at the finely set table, in the scant and sexy attire of a temptress. Across from her, disguised as her elegantly clad suitor, sits Satan himself. From a delicate Waterford decanter, He slowly fills her fine crystal goblet with an early vintage Chateau Lafite Rothschild, its perfect claret momentarily clashing with the red tinges of his eyes. Atop their Wedgewood china, sits the finest perfectly roasted Chateaubriand, which they dine on delectably with their early Hester Bateman silver knife and fork. Under the table, each has a loaded gun. Hers, cocked and ready to fire, is a powerful Smith and Wesson. His, also cocked and ready to fire, is his putrid manhood, which he has disguised as his “Adonis adorned gift from God”. As the meal ends, and they sip from two snifters half-filled with Louis XIV fine Cognac. He takes her free hand and starts to guide it under the table. With her other one, just before contact, she pulls the trigger again and again. With his last gasp, he knows that this time, Good has defeated Evil. He collapses to the floor in deep pools of blood. She feels her soul return, as she takes one last glance at him and leaves. As the door closes an awful stench fills the room, and Satan lifts up out of the body he had entered. He returns to the “Bowels of Hell” to plot his next evil deed.

Hi Larry Wow I just love this thank you for the dedication
i am thrilled to bits! I love how you described the finest wine, Waterford
crystal (Which i used to collect ) and Wedgwood china and all the rest
of the finer quality drinks and so forth,if this was`nt about the devil and the
lady, it reminded me somewhat of the film MR and Mrs Smith about two assassins
i read your comment on Cherie`s "The sin in oblivion" your comment read
similar to my write which you read after i understand but your last line in your comment
" it`s purpose was to bed Satan and give him the clap!"
I must tell you that that comment cracked me up, only you Larry could think like that thank you
for the smiles :-) loved this Thank you again dear Larry all stars and pinned
Love n hugs Debs xox
Hi Dear Debs,
I must admit, Linda had some angst about the part where the Devil got the clap. But, I told her not to worry, for I had been laughing at my own joke for hours and I knew that it would be humorously accepted. Like I said, it was so strange for me to write on Cherie's poem and the very next one that I pulled up to comment on was yours. I do most of these between 3-5 in the morning, and usually take a little rest for a half hour afterwards. But your poem tied in with my response to Cherie, got me so revved up, that I didn't take a little nap till after nine a.m. I'm so glad you liked it. Interesting that you used to collect Waterford, etc.. I don't know if you realize this but my profession is dealing in mostly old paintings, but once in a while dabble in antiques. Thank you for making this one of the happiest days I can remember in a long time!
Hugs, Peace and Love,
xox Larry

Hi Dear G,
This poem was inspired by the poem "Good Versus Evil" by Debs Evans. So I have to give her credit for its inspiration. It was also a direct spin-off of a comment that I wrote before reading Debs poem, on Cherie's poem "The Sin In Oblivion". If you haven't read my comment to Cherie you really need to, because it's quite humorous. Let me know what you think.
We Love You!

Hi T,
Actually Cherie started the whole ball rolling with the "Sin in the Oblivion", and it just kind of snowballed from there. This has been the most fun day I have ever had on Cosmo, and have been laughing all day! I saw in your comment to Georgina on her "Joke" that you weren't sure what "bits" were. I just put a comment on today about it that I think you'll get a real kick out of. Check it out, it fits right in with the humor of the day.
Peace, Love and Rockets, my Poetic Brother, T,
