Heavens door

   Heavens Door.
Just south of the moon stands an eagle, just east of the sun sings a song. There’s no one left in heaven, the angels there all gone.
The tears on my face all dried, the cry in my voice now silent. The care once shown put asunder, the friends that I lost have shown where my cry went.
All young birds fly that leave an empty nest, the Loons lonely cry will attest to this. The tears in a mother’s eyes after long goodbye’s and one last kiss.
If we roll the stone away and cast it to the wind, and never check to see just what happened to him. If we stand at the gates with a bag full of change, as the sign on the door says they won’t let you in.
Maybe just maybe the moon is just light for the eagle, and the sun lights the way so we can see to sing. And the keys to heaven are the ones to my front door with all the love inside that home sweet home can bring.
