Hell-Bent On Life

I can sense there's something wrong in me

I struggle to do tasks I once did easily

I want to laze at home doing nothing

An answer to this change may be disturbing.

I'm scared a doctors diagnosis will reveal

Why it is I have lost my energy and zeal

I am of an age where problems are expected

I am scared that cancer will be detected.

However it is by showing strength and courage

That I will do my very best to encourage

This weary body to seek medical assistance

For I know that will increase its resistance

To any potential life threatening event

Because on enjoying more time I am hell-bent !
