Helping hand

Why would you drive home on a night like tonight,
You would walk out of my room and out of my life,
It's so tough for you and I understand,
I'm just trying to offer a helping hand,
Yet that hand hasn't helped at all,
It's just helped our demise helped our fall,
Dreamt about fixing this making this better,
Got a new haircut a brand new sweater,
It doesn't me fuck all,
We've hit a brick wall,
And I can't see that we've had our fall,
But earlier on we laughed for a while,
You brought back your grin a familiar smile,
It didn't last and turned into tears,
That's when I realised my very worst fears,
You don't want this,
And it's not fair to pressure,
To try to too hard,
I don't want to stress ya,
So I'm stepping back,
So I don't lose my best friend,
As that's the main thing that matters,
As this is the end

Hi Dean, lovely write.I loved these lines

"So I'm stepping back,
So I don't lose my best friend,
As that's the main thing that matters,
As this is the end"

Nice one. To friendship. Cheers!
