Her

Her

What exactly do you bring,

With the fire and lies you sing?

Though I’ve lost and suffered great,

You take it all to leave this hate.

Whats my sorrow, what of my pain,

Do you need me to die again?

Breathless, empty, tired still,

You try to pass your woeful bill

To see me suffer or see me fall.

You will not conquer,

For I will not crawl, call,

Nor weep upon thy feet.

I won’t grieve you anymore,

You sold your soul, and what for?

A last attempt at hope and life

As your seed falls and starts to die,

You lie and drink and curse the soul

Of any to care to start again.

For failure is your crutch you cling to,

Hit away a chance or hope or prayer.

I can’t save those who lie,

You have to try – try for me,

Or die for you.

I’m not your light when the tunnel comes,

And you’re no longer my darkness.
