Here and Now

I am taking my middle Granddaughter to see her pop idol sing today
tho truthfully I wish it wasn’t on I really have to say
Mind you I was driving back again tomorrow to the very same city, my youngest Daughter’s birthday present for her Dad has been postponed that’s a pity
Well perhap’s it is for the best as one shouldn’t be taking any chances
with the spreading of this dam Corvid-19 as it stretches and advances

I feel so sorry for the youth of today
all this uncertainty and dreadful dismay
I cannot recall a time looking back thru my life
with so much unpredictability of troubles and strife
My Granddaughter is excited as we are going straight from her school
and I am equipped with Detol hand wipes, I am not a fool
But this is my last public gathering
I can honestly say
I am not minging and mixing so keeping well out of the way

Rollon the happy day when this awful infection has gone
coz it’s causing chaos to countries when all is said and done
Quarenteens with seclusions
cancellations and confusions
Each and everyone watching the World-wide news
Listening to the latest announcements of blight and blues
I look forward to the time when this is but a distant memory
and I haven’t lost any of my members from our little family
