Poem -

Hero

The blood trickled down his face,
As drops of crimson sacrifice.
The foe was strong and vicious
But His countenance wavered not.
The fight was long and took its toll
Upon His weary and battered soul.
The very core of His essence
Pained and abandoned by all.
The only thing left to do, and the
Most noble deed in creation...
Offer up His life unto the Maker.
