highfields

I've learned,
when the roof falls in..
lock the door and throw the keys away,
if straights are dire..
conserve what you've earned
don't try patching it up
as you won't win.
you can plaster the bowed bits
and rewire
but the walls are too thin
when the big wolf blows
go with the wind

bad luck..an enterprise in a bad area was doomed through local jelousy, the ceiling fell through..after a lot of renovation work..I locked it and never went back..you can't improve on a disaster.
So sorry, Pauline, but these were the first thoughts that came to mind as I read this scathingly mordant, frenetic free style piece of poetry.
Nicely penned!

yes you are right...but it was more than ten years ago what I write about..a lovely house I bought ..targeted by a jelous person... I let him win..but I didn't lose either I made on it...funny what inspires us...failure can do just that..
Yes, we often find our inspiration in the strangest of places.
My pleasure, Pauline.
