hippopotamus & the shrew

hippopotamus & the shrew

“Please don’t hurt me” shrieked the shrew as she sobbed with her mighty yelp
“If you step in my domain then that is something I can’t help”
groaned the ginormous hippopotamus as he was galumphing on the grass

“I am undereath your lifted foot Oh can you please wait for me to move” screamed the tiny little creature in a disheartened disapprove
“Are you being serious, I have four legs, I cannot stand on three” moaned this monstrous animal so sympathetically

Out of the blue in a split second the shrew was grabbed by his short hair, wedged in an eagle’s talon & elevated in the air
Then a vulture flew right into them banging the eagle with a bump, the tiny shrew slipped out between two claws & gave a power jump

Luckily for the minute shrew whilst the two feathered friends were in dispute, he catapulted as quick as lightening wishing he had a parachute
Splosh.....Dive.....Ascend !!! thank the Lord for that .........
As she couldn’t believe her luck having nine lives like a cat
