History repeat’s itself❤️

History repeat’s itself❤️

I wasn’t born yesterday
My father used to say
As he told me little stories from his bygone day

I would look up & I’d smile, thinking
Eeh bless him, he is getting old
All these memories from his childhood that my late Father told

Well many moons have passed
It’s my turn now as I say
“I wasn’t born yesterday”
As I try to give advice
They look at me & I think they know that I’m just being nice

History repeats itself
We mimic sayings from our folks
Haha I even find myself telling my old Father’s jokes

But that’s just the way it is
It’s simply the way it will alway’s be
We reminisce from our upbringing
We learn from our parent’s you see
