Hit and Run

Hit and Run

A - B - C...
Alphabet lesson today.
G - H - I...
Repeat.
LL - M - N...
and then...
R
the star letter,
Erre.

The tongues struggle in little mouths,
roll it, roll it!

With the tip on the top of your palate,
that's it.

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
Room, rrrrrrrrroom.

Like if you were angry.

Rrrrrrrrrr...

Furious.

Rrrrrrrrrr...

like driving a car at full speed.

Room, room,

Crash!!!!!!

A glass drops,
tiny soft fingers laughing,
with the sound
undulating from the young lips.

"Miss, Mum cannot make it"

(giggling)

"But I can:
room, room".

the juicy tongue
trembling among the biscuits.

"Lisa, your child can make it,
even with her mouth full,
don't you feel ashamed?
Try again".

But Lisa feels proud.

Mum and child leave the room...

Room, room!

Mum and child get the bus...

Room, room!

Mum and child cross the road...

Room, room!

Roll your tongue,
like if you were angry...

Room, room!

Like the kids of the gang,
like if you were furious...

Room, room!

Like the kids opening the car,
like driving it at full speed...

Room, room!
Crash!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa falls,
tiny soft fingers crying,
mummy is gone.

The sound doesn't stop.

Room, room!

Full speed,
Furious:

"Miss, Mum cannot walk"...

shouting!

"and I won't on my own, anymore".

Lisa now has a wonderful bouquet
tied up to a lamppost
opposite the school.

The child has brain damage.
The kids of the gang...
Nothing.
They already had their fun.

Two men abandoned the car,
two kids were caught by police.

Men to drive,
men to kill.

Kids to cry,
kids to deny it.

They were men then,
make them men now,
to pay for it.
