HOLD ON

Caught in a place between heaven and hell, Why are we here ? No one can tell. Cometh so far yet so far to go, Who's looking down over us...Well, who really knows. 

They say take the good along with the bad, but that's no consolation for the one's who feel sad. With a heart oh so broken and lonely as can be, When you've lost a dear loved one you no longer see,

The meaning of hope, love and peace in this world, Your mind body and soul only knows the turmoil. The beauty of life, the animals, the flowers, You still sit alone and drown your sorrows hour after hour.

The heart behind giving it your all and doing your best, Sinks down in the ashes, wants to lay down and rest. The joy of life, the laughter and cheer, Falls down deafly on sorrowful ears.

Each day laden with golden sun rays, Dissipate to the shadow of grey covered days. You want to believe in the magic of love, But the ounce of happiness you have left just isn't enough. 

You lay and you ponder day after day, waiting for faith to show you the way, But another shock pulls you down all over again, And the wanting of heaven starts up and then...

You're back to the choice of give up or go on, If there's a chance you'll get through this you want to hold on. Yet there's the weight of all that's passed by, You have to decide if you're still willing to try.

Angels they watch and they shed a tear, For our trials and tribulations year after year. They're there for the one's who ask for a hand, Yet so many pass by like the hourglass - just falling sand.

Hold on and pray in the black pitch of night, Pray for the Angels to make everything all right. Hold on and pray in the light dawn of day, Pray for the Angels to show you the way. Hold on and pray you'll hear the Angels sing, Pray for the strength the Angels can bring. Hold on and pray for the love to fill your heart, Please don't give up 'til it's your time to pass. Hold on and pray to the Spirit that's brought you thus far, Reach for the sky and every star shining afar. 

Even in the long run if it turns out you lose, You'll know you've done the best that you could do. The Angels will show you apart from all else and above, How to open your heart and hold on to the love.
