HOLDING UP THE LINE

It's embarrassing when it happens for sure. Relateable poem Linda

Been there soooo many times. It happens to us all I am sure 😊 x

YEP!!...SOOO very embarrassing.......my cheeks turn red upon such occasions!! ......ALL STARS!!......thanx for taking me back there......or maybe not?!....smiles......T xo  : )

came close last week in upscale place, back from the beach, looked like a homeless old man, grizzled unshaven surfer, hair askew, numerous holes in my polo shirt, etc, / in line, as the things I had in the basket were being rung up, i flashed I had not brought my credit cards with me that day ( chewed to smithereens by my son's puppy that morning), freaked out that I likely did not have enough cash in my terribly tattered wallet, alerted the checker (without excuse), that I might have to put something back, place was crowded, baskets lined up behind me, the checker was brilliant, a kind heart, and in the moment, not enough in my tattered wallet, I then remembered my old leather phone case and found enough to barely cover the few groceries (and the beer:)). 

I felt blessed, not because I found the money, I did not care about what others may have presumed about me, I thought of all the people who struggle to have enough to feed themselves or family and must carefully calculate each purchase as they fill their basket. This thought was sobering and I will strive to be mindful of this every day and act upon it as I can.
