Poem -
HOLES
how silly
one trying to help another
trying to fix it all
when all we have is half a head
and broken hearts for tools,
after all
still,
on we go, around and round
looking for gods who
don't want to be found
carving more holes in the
patterns of death
helping each other
to breathe that last breath

I found comfort in this write Marion , death is inevitable .....you captured that perfectly with your ending lines , it does seem so clear that all we all are doing is waiting for our time to come, helping each other to get through time until that last breath. Rob wrote something so relevant, about us all helping each other as we wait ( sorry live) here to ( inevitably) die. And as we help we look for those unhelpful gods who no doubt, lurk in the shadows. Sometimes the gods can be helpful — but they do choose their moments xx

Ha ha...🙏🙏🙏...some from me too ( just in case). Someone once said that as there are only two options and the second one won't matter anyway it makes sense to cover all bases. Well they didn't say that at all as I can't remember

My mum used to say to me that she believed in God and heaven because it made death bearable. If it is true..Great. if it turns out not to be true she wouldn't know anything about it anyway. That was her thinking.
Faking it ...hmmm ...well, if god felt you were faking it he or she ( I've not decided yet) would see that as a sign of you wanting to believe ... so God, being God, would let you into Heaven. Simples. ( oh how I wish it all was simples...lol)
