Holly Woods

Holly Woods

On those late afternoons
Just as the sun goes down
I sit and imagine
Those holly woods of brown
So beautiful
So poisonous
So beautiful
Like the rarest jewl
Folks drool over that
Same beauty
Those holly woods
Of Brown
Where the sun
Never truly goes down
I sit and imagine
Lights over stars
That come around
That eventually die down
In those holly woods
Of Brown
Where the soul
Gets sold
Like fruit
At the marketplace
2 for a pound
Where they shoot
To kill stars with fame
No shame
Bang Bang
Goes the camera
Everybody
Get down
It's a race
To chase the crown
In those holly woods
Of Brown
